First drive of M135i since lockdown.....

Had enough of the car being tucked up in the garage so tax went back on this morning and off out I went this afternoon in pursuit of completing the run in period!

First time I have been able to give the Potenzas a good heat cycle (under 4.5k rpm &#128521 and I can confirm that they are shite! Squealing all over the place on my favourite stretches of road and don’t give the same amount of feedback as my previous MPSS. Going to try and get a price on selling them to my nearest part worn garage and swapping out ASAP.

Seeing as I am a Furloughed for the foreseeable I reckon I could be on for some great drives!

Good review of the Bridgestones.. once you start pushing you realise their limits. Since getting my m135i i have had to change my driving a bit to suit the drivetrain. I brake befor a corner and accelerate through it. If i break too late I get understeer. (That's before lowering)

So.. Finally I lowered my car! The eibach lowering springs are lower than what I would have wanted but this is what eibach offers worldwide. 30mm fronts and 15mm rear. The car feels lower than 15mm at the rear.

Initial impressions: Steering is much lighter and easier to maneuver (this is due to the nose heavy stance), cars quick to turn in and doesn't feel heavy. Almost like i have lost a few kilos , on rough roads the Eibach springs are more comfortable than standard springs (less busy but theres a better feel of the road) and best of all I can get over bumps!

Roughly 5mm mate, mine sits perfectly for what I'm looking for.

And had more than a few people commenting on it now so I'm pretty chuffed mate.

Yes I think the same exact and gloss black like mine too. Looks good in the Misano, just as used to that blue with all black bits. Maybe I've seen more 'Nardo' type cars kitted with black bits.

Drove the 135i for the first time in 2 weeks today, it's fast, deceptively fast and it was pouring rain while I was pressing on. Epic fractions and all no fuss.

The car can shift! I'm loving mine just now, spending a small fortune on fuel 😂

I must say the number of times I have pushed it in the rain on traction mode and still no slip except when I went into a paddle of water... then you can feel the LSD trying to shift the power between the front wheels and then the rear.
