Horn sound when doors lock if engine on

Hi.
I think this is just a UK/Europe thing but my car has comfort access so when I get out of the car and the engine is on, the car locks and the horn sounds.

Is there any way of stopping the horn sounding please?

And yes I know it’s an offence to leave your engine running while not in the car but this is for when I’m at work in a locked and secure car park using the jet wash while I warm the engine up.

Hi, yes, it’s possible to disable it. Bimmercode has an option just for that.

Thanks, I’ve had a look and it’s not ticked but the above setting is for when the engine is off.

Think I read somewhere a couple of years ago that in the Uk it has to be enabled when the engine is on and you can’t turn it off.

Do you mean locking the doors whilst the engine is on and running? In the UK this probably isn't permitted because of the law on leaving the car whilst the engine is idling....

It is possible as the car does lock while the engine is running but I just don’t want the horn to go off.

Perhaps then the horn sounding is intentionally there to warn you that you might be doing something you shouldn't. In this particular case then it might be that reprogramming is required..
