Riss Racing Catless Downpipe 135i VIDEO!!!!
Hey guys,
Sorry it took so long to get this video up. This is a forum member heres 135i who can chime in with his 2 cents later. The ONLY mods this car has is Riss Racing 3inch Coated Catless Downpipes, and Riss Racing O2 SIM. It has bone stock exhaust. Enjoy! www.RissRacing.com YouTube link |

I have driven on it for about 2 days now. All I can say is WOW. The car already turns heads but now I see almost every person looking over at me. I had the DINAN tune and had it removed due to the fact that it caused the cruise control to not function. Driving the car stock felt good but its hard going down when you know the potential of the car. With these DP's not only does the car feel like it has as much if not more power than it did with the DINAN tune but it also has the damn sexy growl!!! oh I love it. When the car was at idle I looked above me to see if there was a helicopter above...but it was the car. You will love it! P.S. Anthony, apology accepted, however thats pretty much how I drive her everyday so its nothing shes not used to lol -Siavosh |

Yes same as the 335i. But thats dual exhaust so going into that single with the 135i makes it sound a lot meaner than the 335i.

^^ Catless is arguably better because:
1) it has a more powerful sound 2) it offers more gains in hp and torque 3) it costs less Drawback: Must use O2 simulator when using catless to prevent the car from detecting the removal of the catalytic converters and throwing a code. Anthony, did I do a good job explaining this? |

Pretty much perfect explanation. Catted has a little different pitch tone. We'll post a video clip of that later on. Both sound great. Performance is good on both but definitely higher gains on catless.

Besides the fact that you need to use the O2 simulator, my big concern with catless is passing emissions during inspection time.
Is this going to have a chance to pass emissions? |

We have never smoged the car with catless downpipes. I know you'll pass a visual since the downpipes are hidden under the schroud and you still have secondary cars. However it is very easy just to put your stock downpipes back on before you smog the car.

I know its probably not too bad to put the stock ones back on, but its getting to the point where I am going to have to take half the car apart when I want an inspection done, so I was hoping to not have to do too much when inspection time rolls around. I'm awaiting the catted sound clips/dyno results as well.....and the intake clips/vids too  Thanks Anthony |

very nice. i'm a little concerned about warranty with either... the catless are obviously the way to go. I have no smog checks where I live, so I'm left with having to fool BMW if need be, should something happen, or swap back.
Couple questions: How hard is the swap? And they fit right on to a 100% stock system, just replacing the DP's? Lastly, for my own benefit, wonder how it'd sound w/ stock exhaust, catless DP's and no resonator (swapped for pipe). Awesome vid Anthony. edit: any long term concerns running an 02 sim and a tune? Must it be tuned on the dyno and afterwards, any concerns with the ECM getting a fake signal not knowing how the car's running 02 wise? The 02 sim idea is all new to me. When a tune goes in, it'll be a mild tune (SSTT or JB2 or wait for the cp-e OBD one). |
