Red line (1) is the equivalent expected crank HP Red line (1) is the equivalent expected crank TQ Black line is load No gains are mentioned. Only results. You don't know what the dyno would be without the filter. Quote:
He has : - wheel hp *with* their filter - crank hp *with* their filter - crank tq *with* their filter - load There is no data *without* their filter, so you can't say what the improvement was. -scheherazade |

Thank you for that, it is exactly what I thought and was looking for. +1 So there is in fact no tanglibe data to suggest it is helping (gains in hp or lower AIT's) or hurting (reduced hp and higher AIT's)? Thanks again |

Correct. The dyno only tells us that the car 'runs'. Keep in mind that a stock car is not choking, so there *should* be little to no gains. (It's essentially a 'so what' comparison) If you run a tune, then you have the possibility of real gains. The more aggressive the tune, the higher potential there is in gains. So really, there should be a testing standard. Like : - All intakes must be dyno'd in a car with SSTT and no other mods. - Baseline and intake must be tested within 30 minutes of each other. - etc... Just saying, be careful what you ask for. An intake that's vastly superior to another at high power levels can look pretty miserable on a stock car, where you're choosing a 'best intake' on 1 or 2 hp (which could easily be within standard variance from typical run to typical run. Or one simply flows better and has better top end on a dyno, or one has better ram-air properties and has better top end on a highway, etc). -scheherazade |

If you are looking for cosmetics then this would looks nice, but we have yet to see the dynos tested on either a 135 or 335. To justify purchasing this intake, the figures must be at least double digits gain in hp for that price to be honest.
