We had the Canadian Spa Grand Rapid inflatable hot tub before we traded up to the spa we have now - 4 seater and I can stretch out and not reach the sides with my head on the pillow.
We paid £450 for the inflatable and got it during lock down and got a £500 trade in when we traded up in 2022. The heater ran continually with the inflatable due to zero insulation, irrespective of what they said, an air filled lid & sides doesn't provide much if any thermal insulation. That & the fact that I had to sit cross legged in it whilst the wife at 5ft 6in could stretch out, was the reason we traded up. |

Experiment underway. It's 1120pm. 17 degrees water temperature as its been off for a few days. Tub cover and insulation cover on. I'll see what it heats up to when I wake up.

31 degrees at 930am ie 10 hours .... temperature raised by 14 degrees so around 1.5 degrees per hour. So if tub is switched on between 11pm and 7am that'll heat it up by 12 degrees. Probably useless information.

Left the tub at 38 degrees at 930pm yesterday switched it off.
Today at 630pm water was 33 degrees. So with the insulation cover setup it ain't too bad losing only around 4 degrees in 20 hours. |
