A 330i and M235GC would be about the same price. I’d rather the 330i.

It's like a Kia Sophia in M trim with a striped steering wheel and buckets.

Been a BMW guy since ‘96. Please stop making features available holistically across higher and lower platforms.

If it takes 5 pages to sell a 2 series something went awry in boardroom.

You are dilluting the brand.

Must be me but I really like this, especially in the M235 guise

Why not call it a 2 series saloon rather than a gran coupe tho?

Because a saloon has normal framed doors, whereas the gran coupe has coupe doors and a more coupe-ish silhouette.

I like the back end redesign, it's definitely an improvement and this is coming from someone who owns an F44 235. However, I have the same issue with the front end that everyone else seems to have; it looks nondescript and generic. And agreed, the M-badging is getting out of control, in fact the M-lineup is getting out of control. Remember when CS was something crazy special? Now BMW comes out with like two CS models per MY. Like someone else said, they are diluting the brand with the badging. Someone needs to tell BMW that if they just called it a 235, I would have still bought one.

My issue is with the price. You can get an X1 M50 for the same price as the M235. If this was 8 to 10k cheaper, it would be a good value with the trade off of no RWD.

I think BMW calls it a 'Gran Coupe' to make it sound sportier and more upscale than a regular saloon.
