Yup, exactly. Most of the ones listed have low mileage, but 4+ owners (which screams "track toy" for at least one of those owners) and an accident. Even if a car has 1-3 owners, an accident is still listed in many cases unfortunately. Many times the accident isn't even reported by the owners on their listing, as seen on this site, which is just downright wrong in my opinion. I recommend anyone looking at a CS to really dig deep into it's history, (i.e. don't just settle for the carfax report) and definitely get a PPI.

The bolded part of your quote is what a friend refers to as high probability mileage blocker cars...

Fair point hadn't thought about that.

Even so they were still a $7-800+ / month payment so it is not like just anyone could get one. I do agree a bit tho, people are more likely to thrash a leased car.

Yeah, for sure. I do recall though that in Sept 2018 when I was about to take delivery of my 2019 M2C (purchase), the lease rates being offered for an M3 CS where about the same as the M2C which was hard to fathom.

Hmmm... where was I when they were giving out these low rates???

Crazy to think that 2018 was six years ago.

Personally, I think this speculation about mileage blockers is overblown. A car can’t have two or three owners and low miles over six years? Most people don’t know what a mileage blocker is or how to obtain one. Check the service history and get a PPI.

That's just people blowing smoke to keep their CS values high. The reality is that these will depreciate like 99% of all the other BMWs out there.

Hey Folks, I posted this in the CS owners thread, but I am looking to sell my CS. SMB, basically stock. Just put on Paragon Performance 2 piece rotors front and rear with their P3 brake pads and titanium shims. These were installed less than 1000 miles ago. Fresh PA inspection. Recent maintenance, Spark Plugs, Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Brake Fluid Service, Oil Change, new front tires. All in March of this year. Brakes were in late Feb. Rear Tires were replaced when I got it 2 years ago. Just about 10k miles since I have owned it. Passed PA inspection fine.
42300 miles. I'm looking for 60K.
