I seem to recall the grey is quite light so red may be more serviceable...

That would be my call

It's still a great deal, a lot less than you can currently get the base car on a pcp.

Personally I don't order many extras. Once I knew each thousand added about £23 a month I decided I could live without most. Bearing in mind I'm ordering top of the range, pretty welll specced, cars already.

I had an absolutely loaded Jaguar XF S, then bought a standard Audi A6 biturbo with no extras, mainly because lead time was several months, so I took a stock car. Turns out all the things I thought I'd miss, I didn't.

Looking on the Audi configurator all I'd go for is metallic paint and privacy glass on a S4, which would still keep the cost to well below £500 on that deal.

How do you work that out? I asked about the metallic paint and the extra cost worked out as the full price of the paint the config so about £650+vat.

So about £22 a month over the 36 months, moving your cost up to £482 a month from £460?

Sorry misread what you said! I read like you said the cost of the options would be £500.

The cost will be slightly less than you thought. The cost for metallic paint is £645, including VAT, not plus VAT.

The emails I have got are clearly not stock cars and say factory order only so it's nothing to do with unsold cars sitting about. Clearly want to bump up some build slots and these S4 deals do seem to appear now and again.

go for it, i have a s5 sportback 17 plate with red leather, black paintwork and VC. Another year to go on PCH, love it. My deal was approx 3600 and 23 x 330, it was a terrific deal just got it before the 40k tax change. This seems just as good!

Over on the Audi forums the mpg is pretty variable. I assume if you do 17k a year that a fair chunk is longish distance on decent roads - when 33 or 34 is possible. Play with the loud pedal too often and 23 or 24 is achievable.

My SQ5 is showing an average of 28mpg over 7600 miles so far - mainly decent long journeys but it does have the aerodynamic properties of a brick..

They won't be hugely different to the 40i engines on here.

I did 20,000 miles last year at an average of 30.7 miles, obviously with a fair bit if motorway where 40 plus on a run is comfortable.

That compared to a 3 litre Audi diesel the year before, same mileage and journey types, that achieved 35.6 mpg.

When you work that out as a cost difference over the year, it isn't really that much.

The S4 doesn't appear to be as efficient as the 40i - maybe it's the awd, maybe it's the engineering but the averages seem lower.

My SQ5 costs me a tenner a week more for fuel than the diesel Volvo that preceded it (on 12k mikes a year) - which compared to the depreciation is nothing...

They must have a shit load of these sitting around that didn't sell by the end of March.
I was at the old USAF airbase at Alconbury earlier this year. Now a large part of it has been turned over to storing cars, particularly VW group. They were mainly VW and Skoda (row upon row upon row of Passats and Tiguans) but also quite a few Audis. Noticed quite a few S3 and S4s amongst the mix. I remember thinking there's going to be some good deals on them later in the year!

For anyone interested, the deal I got was with http://www.21stcenturymotors.co.uk/

It's not on their website, but might be available if you ring.

So to all of you that thought it was too good to be true. Well it was. The figures are over two years not three. Not impressed as hes done a credit check against me and as ill reject the new figures it was for nothing. Not happy.

Still a good deal over 2 years. £510 for 17,000 miles, before options. Metallic paint would only take it to £530 ish?

Also some nice deals on the S6, with a lovely big V8 tucked under the bonnet.

I've got the grey and it's wearing really well, no issues with jeans and no marks at all.
