having a hard time finding alcantara
i tried gulf fabrics but i dont think they'll sell small yardages
I only need around a yard of alcantara, anyone know where I can get alcantara, or ultra/micro suede that DOES NOT have any backings?

Bump. Id like to know as well. Im looking to redo the headliner with alcantara. I've searched and found a supplier in FL (GulfFab) but haven't gotten an email back.
Why do people choose suede instead of alcantara? Is it because the headliner gets way less wear than say a steering wheel? Ive got the non-electronic performance steering wheel and Id like to redo the headliner to match the wheel. |

if you use suede, the color will fade as the time goes.. especially if you use it in the headliner, because it's exposed to heat.

Fading depends on who made the suede, some last years while others will fade within months.....kind of like fabric dyes
