Fair price to replace rear window regulator on F83 M4 at indie shop?
So I brought my M4 into my local indie shop and the cost was $900 to replace rear window regulator. Apparently the part was $240 and 4 hours of labor. Hardtop would not go down because window was stuck in the down position so that made the job more difficult.
Does this seem like a fair price? thanks |

Convertible repairs are always expensive and complicated. That shop rate appears to be 165 an hour. It's not dealership pricing since BMW Dealerships in my area are charging 230 an hour now however my indie shop charges 125 an hour but there are a lot of BMW Indy shops in my area which keeps the price competitive. So assuming 4 hours at my Indy shop, it would be $740 roughly if the part is $240.

I just paid $1200 at the dealership for them to replace the right rear window regulator
so I say $900 is fair
