yea i'd definitely love to get this but not if I have to change it back everytime I go in for service/oil changes.

Does anyone have any experience with taking a car with an intake in for service?

Why remove it? If its because of "voiding the warranty" im surprised that's still a potential issue as almost all tuners are now aware of the Magnuson-Moss warranty act.

I guess I'm just afraid in the event of a turbo failure or other engine problems, that BMW won't cover the repairs. This is my first car that I've had under warranty. I previously owned a 99 mustang gt that I did a lot of work too but I didnt have to worry about voiding a warranty.

I definitely would love to add this intake kit if it shouldn't be a problem.

I have put mine on and off a few times and its really not that hard to do if you are worried about dealer visits. In most cases, if your car is having warranty repairs done, and you leave the intake on, the dealer will just tell you to put the car back to stock before they will work on it. Its different for every dealer, but I have yet to see an instance where warranty was denied because of an intake.

Was that picture at Terry's house? If you're also a JB3 beta tester, how is he dual cone with that setup?

I thought this was an interesting claim from a guy in the For Sale forum:

Modifications:

Dual Cone Air intake (makes the load on the turbos less, and oil temps run literally 20 degrees cooler than my STOCK 335i).
