FYI: My car returned from the dealer and as usual i had to recode it. But this time I was unable to recode the ASS with my Bimmercode app. Reached out to Bimmercode. They say BMWs latest software update is to blame. They are working on a way to correct the issue.

Yes no more disabling ASS. It’s a joke and I’m super upset about it. I complained to BMW and spoke with “senior people” they call themselves.

They encrypted the coding so it may be impossible for bimmercode to ever work. Hopefully someone comes up with a solution.

The only slightly annoying feature is that ASS always comes on in ECO mode. For anyone who wants to question the need for this: just go away and enjoy your own car.
Not only Auto Stop/Start always comes on in Eco mode, it also goes off in Sport mode. Both does make sense.

Ideally, Eco, Comfort and Sport mode would have this configurable. Also default mode on start-up would be selectable.
OK solution would be to have Auto Stop/Start function
- Eco mode on - as to save every and each drop of petrol
- Comfort mode - configurable on start-up - either on or off
- Sport mode off - to avoid delay when starting to move from standstill

I hate if it’s on and you get that bad engine shudder when you start to go. I ALWAYS turn it off but I agree hate having to do it every time I start the car. Should be other way around, press button if you want to use it

Regarding the 2023.50 update, on my 2021 F40 M135iX it made no difference. I can still code ASS memory on or off, and this has the desired effect. Simple coding of ASS off has never worked on my car.
