M sport,yes or no....What do think?

I'm in the market to purchase an '09-'10 335i, I like the look of the 335i with the M sport package. from the ones I have saw with the M sport it make about $1k difference in price, which is not bad compared to the price of this option from the dealer around $3,200 I think.
Do you think its worth waiting to find the right exterior/interior color combination with the M sport package.
Would like to hear what the opinion is of this. Thanks to any input you might have.

Well it's not just the exterior looks. With the M sport package you get:

M-sport front and rear bumpers (skirts if you get a coupe)
18inch 193 or 194 wheels
M sport steering wheel (and trim) which feels fantastic.
M sport shift knob, if its a 6 speed.
And the very desirable anthracite headliner.

So..... Yes it's worth it. Definitely get it.

I want a sedan, yes all of that is nice, one thing I have notice it seems like the wheels on the M sport coupe are the double spoke, and the ones that come on the sedan are staggered single spoke then double spoke it that how they come, or can you get either type of a coupe or sedan

Get the M-sport. I looked long and hard for an e90. I ended up finding one that was M-sport and i wasn't even looking for one.

I have everything besides comfort access and heated seats. Even if I have to drive this car for the rest of my life -- it was worth the wait.. lol

The 328 when equipped with the M sport package was style 194, which was a thick 7 spoke design. The 335 was fitted standard with the more common 193s, which sound like the single/double design you mentioned.
Yes, 2009 was the first year the Msport was offered in NA. I believe it was always an option in EU.

you're better off waiting/searching for the exact car you want and not settling ...it'll be worth it in the long run.

I believe you might be looking for awhile (e90) and not worth it:

The M Sport gets:

1) Park Distance Control (rear only)
2) M steering wheel (+$100 for paddle shifters)
3) Anthracite headliner
4) Different wheels
5) Different front/rear valence

m sport makes the car so much better looking, get it if you can, expensive afterwards (i have an 08 that I spent the money to get the m-sport after since it wasn't available in 08 in the US!)

Don't limit your search to M-Sport. Check the Options on all E90's that meet your price and condition requirements. You can get most if not all M-Sport options on a vehicle that isn't an M-Sport by design.

Why wouldn't anyone get it?
The only reason you wouldn't get it is if you decide to put on the M3 or 1M bumper, M3 rear, M3 side skirt, CF trim, bmw perfomance steering wheel, and other things of that sort.... If you want nice and classy without spending $8k on upgrades.... get it.

I was not looking for an M-sport but ended up getting one because the price was right (same as non-M sport I was looking at) and it had the exact features I wanted. The rear PDC is nice (wish it came with front PDC as well), but everything else is cosmetic or same stuff you get from the Sports Package. I love the black headliner and M-Sport steering wheel though.

get M-Sport if you know you'll want the body in the long run. The kit alone is $2000+ unpainted.

M-Sport is is all aesthetics. Nothing actually performance related. The only reason I would get it is the headliner, I don't need a steering wheel that says ///M, its not an actual ///M. If you're getting a manual, ZHP shift knob is the way to go.

To each his own. I prefer the actual m3 rep front bumper and sideskirts to their mtech brethren, so any extra money spent on the msport package would have been wasted in my case.

I looked for a M sport but I also wanted cold, premium, packages along with CA,HD Radio, AC, AS. I couldn't find those options in the M sport unless I spend near 40k

And honestly, for that kind of money I might as well step up to an actual M not one with and M logo on the steering wheel.

Yeah, but it feels and looks so much faster!
