New pedals installed but now accelerator feels funny

I installed pedals from ultimate pedals. There are no screws or anything hanging out of the back and besides the pedal feeling much harder to depress the car doesn't seem to respond when I floor it. I really have to press the pedal down hard and sometimes it still doesn't downshift and fully accelerate. Do I just need time to adapt to a new pedal feel or could I have messed something up when I screwed the pedal on?

+1 yeah, are the edges of the pedal brushing up against the carpet?

putting covers on is like just wearing a thicker sole shoe. It should not affect acceleration. It'll affect "foot position" that you're used to, and maybe some effects on comfort level of your foot on the pedal, but that's about it.

Frankly, I don't like aftermarket covers at all...they all feel un natural after you've driven on stock pedals for a while.

I took the screws out one by one and it seems that one of them was preventing the pedal from being pushed down all the way even though it wasn't sticking out of the back. So 5 holes later and I finally found places that don't cause interference but now I need a new accelerator pedal.

well your shoes will be able to tell that:

1. you have a bunch of holes on your pedals
2. your pedals look cooler now.

water?

you might want to look into the foot perspiration reduction medicine here. 1moremod can recommend a perscription strength foot powder or creme that also combines anti-fungal, anti-inch additives and relief.

Better yet can be build me a garage so I don't have to walk through the mud and rain to get to my car which would also alleviate my water seepage problem?

And I got my hopes up and everything! Now I'm depressed and for a guy who manages a support group I would figure you would do everything to prevent depression.

Never been with somebody from west virginia yet but I will be sure to save some cream I would have used since it seems to come in handy for a few things.
