Change color ambient

Hello,

I can changed the color ambient in my 118i F40, now the color bronze is red.

BDC module > Expert coding > 360A LicLciColorLibrary > LIC_LCI_COLOR_LIBRARY_DATA >UNK_PARAM_18 (selected option) > Custom value

Byte 13 14 15 : D7 6E 14 to FF 00 00
Byte 18 19 20: D7 6E 14 to FF 00 00

Original RGB hex codes are:
90,E0,90 - WHITE
D7,6E,14 - BRONZE
93,1A,01 - ORANGE
00,20FE - BLUE
10,FE,32 - GREEN
78,3C,FE - LILAC

you must change the bits of the color you want to change, they are two series of 3 bytes, as in the previous example.

Just done this, so I have red now (wording is still bronze).

There must be a way of having footwell lights on while driving like in a Golf R - which were blue, I added blue bulb, and variable brightness also.

I saw carpet light in expert mode but there's too many settings to experiment!

Yes, the name of the color and the color as such in the idrive display, I don't know if it can be changed, I'll investigate.

Regarding the light of the mat, it's interesting, I'm going to fiddle a bit to see what I find

It was difficult for you to change the bulb, where can I find a replacement?

No, the blue bulb I changed was in a previous VW Golf R, a car where the footwell lights were always on, with variable brightness adjustment.
I feel there's a way to code our BMW footwell lights on all the time, but the options in expert mode are very many so we need to really know which settings to actually code. The footwell lights are white but I'm sure we could find some different colours, like blue or red, maybe on Ali Express. That's where I bought my M logo door lights, which are exactly the same light size & fitting as the footwell and boot lights

i have just given this a go and changed bronze to red,

Hiya i did this

BDC module > Expert coding > 360A LicLciColorLibrary > LIC_LCI_COLOR_LIBRARY_DATA >UNK_PARAM_18

and these bytes

13 14 15 / 18 19 20
43 44 45 / 48 49 50

I have now had the car on in the dark and the DRL's work and all the other lights to. it also does not say anything when the car is started.

So everything seems ok, just thought it was a bit odd.

What is strange there is more than just "UNK_PARAM_18" there are a few and they are all matching the 18..

I get that from time to time, I'd hazard a guess that the module is just restarted and the sensor just throws a wobbly. Goes away with a restart.
