Shelby looks and sounds great, good for cruising however its for sure not comparable for small roads driving, to me best alternative for both sound and dynamism is current M2 ...

This is surprising. I find the inside of new mustangs to be typical US auto maker plastic. The M2 has plastic interior parts, but of extremely high quality. I guess to each their own.

It comes down to what you value more, having a nice weekend only vehicle and your POS daily or having something that can serve as both.

I own a 13 Mustang Boss 302. I love my Boss. My M2 feels more tossable and zippy in comparison. More torque down low, make zipping around more fun. But the visceral experience of the Boss puts a huge smile on my face every time I drive it. If I had to keep one car.... I would be hard pressed to sell the Boss. I would assume the 350 would be similar. I know when I drove a 350 before I got the M2 I was kinda shocked how slow it feels in regular driving. It needs to rev to 5k just to begin to feel the torque. The M2 is instant torque. The s55 might lose a little of that compared to the n55, but it’s way sharper down low compared to the 350. Most 350 owners I’ve met admit to reving theirs to 5kish even in daily driving. That might be partly why the oil consumption is so high. So am I to assume you are burning the one quart of oil per 1k in the 350? I know that seems to be the number I hear, but wow that seems excessive. My Boss or M2 have never burned any, even during track time. See how that test drive goes.

"Hell no." GT350 is an awesome ride and not worth the 13 month depreciation hit to make the switch. |

No way to tell until you drive the M2C.
Tough choice because I love NA engines, but I'm just not a big fan of how physically big muscle cars are. I've never driven a GT350, but I've sat in one and it just felt as big as an M6. The 2er platform on the other hand, is more my kind of size. Reminds me of an E46 which was just about the perfect blend of practicality and size. 1qt every 1k miles seems like a hell of a lot. I know that would normally pass as "normal" on a performance engine and not that unheard of around here even, but none of my M engines burn that kind of oil.

I am enlisted with 14 years of service. You can stay in Germany for a long time (up to 8 years), but i've been here for 4 years. Thanks for your service |

I went from a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 to the F80 M3 and the number one thing I missed most was the sound of the NA 5.0 Coyote engine. When I heard the flat plane crank engine of the GT350R I knew I had to get it.
Now with the release of M2C....I’m considering trading in my F80 for it. For me, I believe the M2C will addresss all the shortcomings of the F80: more fun, more tossiable in a smaller package. |

Whoa.. is that a GT350R? I would never in a million trillion years trade a GT350R for an M2 competition
A non-R with the GT500 coming around the corner.. maybe but at this point you're just trading apples for oranges and I'd probably just stay put with that beautiful grabber blue GT350 --mike |

Man your GT350 looks hot. I've always been a huge fan of Grabber blue as I owned a 2012 Mustang GT in Grabber Blue myself. You definitely won't receive anywhere close to the same attention going to an M2C.

I agree. I cross-shopped the M2 and GT350, and the interior of the 350 was definitely inferior IMHO. The sound of the 350 is sex on wheels though . In the long run the M2 won me over but the 350 was a strong contender.

Just yesterday somebody had my shop change the clutch and shifter in his GT350R and I think his new parts feel much, much, much worse in my opinion. The stock setup is really nice.
