Shelby GT350 owner to BMW M2 Comp?
Hello everyone new guy here. So 13 months ago I newly purchased a 2017 grabber blue Shelby GT350. The car gets so much attention here in Europe and everyone loves it. I test drove an M4 before my purchase and decided it was to tame for my liking (granted it was an autobahn test drive reaching speeds of 150-160mph ). Now the M2 Competition has caught my attention with its new power-plant. I visited our local military dealer here and got an OTD pricing of 54,500 (Manual, executive, sapphire black). There is a demo vehicle coming in 3 weeks and I will take a test drive to see what all the fuss is about. Do you support my decision? Granted when I ask my mustang buddies they are like "Hell No" so it will probably be biased here too.

I edited that remark. They are getting their demo vehicle first week of July so more like 3 weeks and I get the first test drive . US Spec car and it's right down the road from where these are being built.

Definitely worth a test drive first, if you are a bit on the fence. Absolutely no chance of any test drives here in the UK any time soon from what I have been told |

Congrats. I see no problem with moving to a new car. You only live once, getting a new car every 2-3 years is fun. GT350 is cool ride, that flat plane NA life.

53k for a M2C, military pricing is an awesome deal; BMW really does hook you guys up!
I would sell the Mustang privately and order the M2C at that price. |

You’ll find the M2 more tossable, but you’re going to cry every time you start it and hear the S55 engine “noise” vs the beautiful sound of the GT350.

If I were you, I’d listen to your Mustang buddies and stick with the Shelby. You test drove the M4 and thought it was too tame, M2’s aren’t any rowdier or faster. Just more controllable and tossable.

I would not go from a 350 to a m2 or m2c, wish they sold 350s here in Sweden for the same sort of price they go for in americanity :/

They're giving you a break even on the normal military sales pricing with that 54.5k out the door. I'm not sure how Euler is on trades, but you shouldn't have any problems getting the high end of NADA for the GT350, couple that with a discount that no one in the states is getting on the M2 Comp, go for it.

Having owned over a half dozen mustangs...from GT's, a Mach 1, and a couple terminators, while also having owned an E46 M3. My M3, was the best overall car I have ever owned.
That said, I would have a real hard time giving up a GT350 for the M2C. |

So I've created a Pro and Con list. All through the week I drive a beater honda civic cause the 350 isnt the best daily. The m2 would be an everyday 365 car. I cant compare the M2C driving abilities yet so who knows how it will drive.
GT350 Cons: Terrible Fuel Eco Terrible daily driver (fits weekend warrior only) Consumes 1 qt of oil every 1k miles Paint quality/body panel fitment Needs supercharger to fix no go down low 6th gear is a massive overdrive gear practically garbage Slow in the 1/4 mile for the hp Big girl Pros: Sounds amazing Revs for days Infotainment system is pretty good Destroys corners w/Magneride Massive brakes which has saved my ass many times Recaros are the best ever Hides its 3700lbs very well Turns heads like a boss 7 year 100k mile warranty M2C Cons: Heavy for its size Exhaust sound Color choices Not as cool No electronic adjustable suspension Power to weight ratio (I know can be fixed with a tune ) Pros: All the cool electronics not available on a Ford dynamic cruise control A usable 6th gear Better for daily driver duties Parking sensors Better than Ford infotainment system Smaller overall size |

Radar is needed for 5DF active cruise control, not 544 dynamic.
