C63 AMG S better than M3?
Many journalists have been saying this car easily beats the M3. Not sure about the exterior styling, but love the sound of V8 though.

Hmm, not the best review. Most of it spent reviewing how it looks and cabin ambience, whilst driving at 30mph in a straight line through the suburbs. Who knows, maybe it is a great car, but you'd be none the wiser after watching this.

Who, me?
Not outraged at all. Just saying it wasn't a great review if you actually were actually interested in how good the car is vs. others. I definitely have better things to do, but then the whole point of this forum is to provide a happy distraction

I think given the focus of the two cars in question, any review that doesn't involve some track comparison is pretty meaningless.
I don't really care for the 'bling' of the Merc, but it's a Brand thing and the same across the range, even our GL has bits of pointless bling, but they're not offensice. For me, having an M3 has always been on my 'to do' list, never really thought that way about an [any]63 AMG, so for me, my money would still go on an M3, but each to their own Last edited by Beancounter_74; 03-31-2017 at 07:39 AM.. |

That C63S base price is £68k new and NO discount to be had on these, certainly on brokers4cars.
The M3 DCT can be had for £53k new. That's a £15k difference, no wonder the C63S is "better"

@ the OP ( P1 PET )
Over time and experience you'll learn that not everything you read, including from experienced auto journalists, is gospel. There is absolutely no substitute for trying something yourself and making your own mind up. In fact a lot of what they spout is absolute rubbish, their perceptions of build quality being one such example. So if you're ever in the market for one of these, or indeed for any new vehicle, do try and get an extended test drive and see for yourself. One man's dream car could be another's nightmare. That being said, I'd take a C63S over an M3/M4 every day of the week.
