Remus pipe

Hey guys

Found this from fleabay:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BMW-X3-E83-Pe...QQcmdZViewItem

This is probably a wrong forum to discuss, but what do you think of fitting a remus on my X3? is it worth the money given this is a bloody 4WD?

I got a supersprint cat-back on my 318is, absolutely love it. but just wasn't sure whether it sounds ridiculous on a X3?

Cheers
Leon

this might give you some idea:

I wouldn't put the same exhaust on an X3/X5 that I would on a coupe / cab.
Especially if you had to do long drives with people in the back, might get too loud and annoying.

thanks for the clip. well we dont really drive anyone in the back, except for our soon-to-be baby (expecting in Dec)

also wasn't sure whether it'd void the warranty given it is only a 8 mths old car! probably wait after the first 12 mths complimentary service before fitting an aftermarket pipe.

i dont mind the stock muffler on the 3.0si, it sounds pretty throaty...nothing beats the beautiful silky smooth inline 6.

I never had a problem with my dealer, and my mods

And I don't think you would look stupid at all with a nice exhaust, so long as it is not a loud one.

What I prefer on a 3.0 six is a Cold Air Intake.
I had a CDI air box and it sounded great, but took it off as I felt I lost a bit of power.
I would go for a Gruppe M next time.
