Hi guys. I'm a newbie from Malaysia.

I currently drive a E90 325i.

Iniatially was thinking of the F10 528i but after seeing the pictures of the G30, I decided to wait for this car.

According to some official BMW dealers in Malaysia the G30 is expected to be sold here in March/April 2017.

However although we pay amongst the highest prices for cars in the world (due to tax on cars), there is very little information on the G30.

I've even written to BMW Malaysia enquirying about the new model (i.e. Specs and pricing) but got literally nothing out of them.

Therefore I'd like to thank Sahajesh for sharing those pics he got at the dealer in U.K.

Please keep it coming guys.

Indeed that looks like the same rhombicle hex pattern as the dash on the G30 M Sport. Granted, it is not the whole surface, thre is still some black shiny surface.

My assumption is then that on M sport the default is the same material as the dash strip (as per the F10 M Sport combination), and for SE etc. it may be that shiny black... but my money is on the fact that it is a optional extra on all cars (piano black)

To me, that interior looks just like the one in the first post, with the same Rhombicle aluminium interior trim.
I've circled the areas of the gloss black trim I say is on every G30. Or are you talking about something else?

You are right. I need to search more... there were examples with matte over all the black parts...

But, I could be wrong, it could be the lighting in the earlier examples I saw....

The picture of the light controls has two switches marked P with lights - not seen that before, is it for parking lights?

Will be embarrassed if my F30 has those switches, will check in a moment

I've been wondering the same thing, but doubt it's the parking lights.
I wonder if it's for the parking assistance, and to activate the search for a parking spot on the left or right side.

Possibly but to me that's the big P button on the centre console and you choose the side by indicators as per F30.

I also notice 4 things (my F10 is pre-LCI)

a) The Cruise control buttons move to the right buttons on the left side

b) I don't see a headlight level adjustment dial on the right (where the new park lights are)... I guess they are auto-leveling when the rear of the car is under load/towing

c) Stated before by others, but a backward step: no heat adjustment dial in centre console to fine tune air temp

d) Is it just the view of the last picture... seems there is no mini-storage compartment (for glasses and small stuff) under the light controls...

And as I mentioned above, no damned lock for centre console storage

Both Driver and passenger side can be set seperately or Synced to Driver side

OK thanks, that's reassuring... heating fine tuning... is a digital adjustment, seems slow/cumbersome (too many steps)

Can probably save it as a quick select button (numbered buttons by stereo)
Then just a quick turn of the Idrive knob to change the setting


Many people hardly ever change the setting, so wont miss it.
Way too many have complained the dial is there over the years.
