Baby got new shoes....

Hey all...now that all the exterior touches have been mostly complete I thought I'd share some pics I took a while back but never got round to posting. Was torn between 19's and 20's but in the end decided that with the torque she's pushing 20's don't hinder performance too much. The Chip Logic software rocks but some further mechanical tuning in the pipeline though...

Wheel sizes

any problems with rubbing on the arches?

I wanted order a set of 19" 225 wheels from my local dealer but they declined to fit them due to rubbing issues (the wheels are an option for the e92 coupe but are not available as a listed option for the saloon). The saloon has no optional 19" rims due to possible rubbing issues, which apparently occur when you hit a bump while turning

Maybe I'm burnt but

The more I see the MTech CF splitters unpainted, the more I'm starting to like them...

Quick answer NO..longer answer:
I had an initial problem with rubbing up front but found out that my fitter invoiced the right tyres but fitted the wrong one ie: 245/35/20. After installing 245/30/20 no prob at all. Had to roll the rear ever so slightly to accomodate the 285/25's but that took 5 mins and didn't require special tools or specialist knowledge.

Your dealer is having you on about 19's and e90's though. The following are available from BMW for E90 in 19":
Styles 198; 199; 179; 190 & 101. If you stick to those with recommended tyre sizes should be a perfect fit. The reason 225 won't work is due to ET/offset(pity though cos they r schweet wheels). But with some mods they can work I hear...for me personally if it's not a perfect I don't bother.

His rear tires are less tall compared to the fronts... I went thru 2 sets of 285-25-20 and in the last one a pothole bent the inside of 1 of my 3 pice HRE rims (oucH) so I decided to roll more the rear fenders and installed 295.25.20..which look prefectly. actualyy its almost the same diamer as the fronts.. my 2cents ;-)
