He's a Alfa driver. They have to carry tools at all times.

To be honest if I'd seen someone approaching with a screw driver I'd feel justified in being afraid for my own safety and taken him down.
The minute they pick up a potential weapon like that young old male female etc it's a different ball game.

I returned to the scene this morning and had a good look for CCTV cameras. There is one by the ATMs but its view of where my car was is obscured by a canopy. Had my phone been on me I should have started videoing but it was in the glovebox of my car so I'm thinking that any police involvement would have boiled down to his word against mine. Sad thing is I have a Transcend DP200 dashcam and that morning I didn't plug it in otherwise the incident, me turning off into the carpark and him driving away would have been captured. Whether that would have been enough evidence combined with the fact he returned to the carpark - difficult to say.
I honestly think the guy has some anger issue or other problem because to go after someone's property purely out of malice like that is not right. I generally drive defensively (being a biker as well) and let these w*nkers just get on with it, but given the guy so nearly took me out the spur of the moment reaction was to hit the horn briefly. Must say there is a new breed of motorist in these parts (Brighton and surroundings) who will completely ignore priorities and just drive into a space you're about to occupy on the basis that you'll give way to avoid an accident, then just flip you off if you hoot. Happens an awful lot on roundabouts and junctions.

If only the number of tossers on UK roads was imaginary... and I had an imaginary Gatling gun on the front of the car

Lesson learnt. Don't turn your dashcam off!
