Car Insurance

Hello all!

My car has been parked since May since I went travelling, and now that I am back I got a job downtown so I take the tube. I dont want to reinstate my car insurance as I dont want to pay $300/month for a car that I might drive on weekends.

Is there an insurance company that offers packages for weekend driving only? Otherwise I might have to just sell the car. Please advise.

I believe TD Meloche can insure you for weekends or occassional driving only.

Interesting. We (will) have four vehicles in our family once the M arrives, with only two drivers, yet my Ins. company is unable to provide me with reduced rates for the two cars that are used infrequently. I'd be interested to hear about what TD can offer.

Just got the answer from TD and unfortunately they don't allow weekend insurance.

wkend insurance is more for exotics/vintage vehicles so not all insurance companies offer it

I had it for a RHD old JDM car and it was like $80 per month

No weekend policy.
TD qouted me a lower amount than the one I am currently paying.
Will decide September if I want to keep the car or not.
