Lowered car...more tire wearage?
Ive had my car lowered for about 3k miles.....ive gone through two sets of tires so far and i thought it was an alignment problem so i took it and got it realigned and it turned out welll.......after driving 500 miles on the new alignment the rear tires are still getting eaten up like holy hell and no i dont do burnouts.
this shit is getting real old...im really considering putting back on my stock suspension |

Where on the tires is it wearing? The inside, the outside, the middle? Tire pressures kept in check?
Your lowered E92 would have more negative camber than it did before it was lowered; the insdie of your tires would wear faster. |

What springs did you use? I went with the eibach pro (mild drop) and had a 4 wheel alignment done that got me back into factory specs for toe, camber, etc.
All good with no wear problems after 2000k, and I drive pretty hard. |

I also don't know why they are using the E46 specs, but they are not bad specs to use. It appears that you have less than 1 degree neg in the rear and this is not much. Your tire wear must be from pressures. What are they? You should be running 36-38 lbs cold.

Right. What ward said is right. As your car is lowered, the camber becomes more negative, and wears out the inside of your tire more. This can be adjusted by the person doing the alignment.

Something is wrong with this situation...this isnt a porsche..even porsche rear tires last 7K miles. I say the alignment is still off. Were the specs shown..I cannot see any links to pics of an alignment printout.

seems strange to me, I think that alignment sheet he was given must have been faked or falsified somehow
the older BMW's didn't have camber adjustability in the rears... do the new ones have that? |

I think the 335i can have different camber settings in the rear..but fronts are pretty much set and if you want to change front camber..you have to get adjustable camber plates installed.

Do you have a picture of your tires? What tires are you running? How is your driving style, etc?
What alignment specs did you have the guys at the shop re-align your car to? |
