Correct process of steering wheel replacement without airbag warning afterwards

Hi guys

Is there any official guide for safely removing the steering wheel in F44 and avoiding airbag warnings afterwards? My understanding is with ignition off, i remove the negative battery pole, wait for 10-15 min and then crack on by popping off the airbag and unbolting the steering wheel...reverse process to mount the new steering wheel, is that correct? PS i am planning to use same airbag, only the steering wheel will be new (same part number, along with new MSFW buttons, again same part number).

Thanks in advance

So today I gave it a go! everything was going well until the point of undoing the steering wheel bolt, I couldn’t undo it with my socket so I called it a day! Good news is when I put everything back no airbag warnings etc! I ordered a long Extension that hopefully will help me undoing this bolt and I will have another go in a few days!
