It's a common thing, yeah. Not always appreciated (in this case, I fully agree it should be two separate threads, as I only replied in the second one, not this original one), but sometimes it's helpful (when two people post the same thing, vide the guy who just asked where to sell his M2C when we just had a thread where our Washignton friend asked the same thing about his M2).

It's very very common. Can't think of a particular one now. I'd watch that M2C thread on where to sell it. That one is prime for it.

It happens mostly when someone posts the link to some news piece and it's repeated. The comments then make sense to be merged

I thoroughly enjoyed the new spider man. Not sure which of the green goblin, hand with cheesy gemstones snapping away life, flying humans from outter space movies TX expects to not fit the silly bill, but if you couldn’t watch, enjoy, laugh and appreciate the merging I can imagine we wouldn’t enjoy the same company at a party.

Even after all the hype I didn't expect it to be as good as it was!

Also saw Being The Ricardo's and while I though the movie was good and the performances spectacular, Nicole and Javier are about 10 years too old for the roles. Nicole is pretty much covered in bad plastic surgery or cheap de-aging cgi.

I watch movies at home all the time. Studios send me screeners all year-round. However, after feeling somewhat underwhelmed by DUNE watching at home, I got the opportunity to attend a screening with Denis Villeneuve and Hans Zimmer over at the Warner Brothers lot. I was blown away. The work they did with music, sound, cinematography etc... they just created an experience that is a MUST for the big screen with the best sound system money can buy.

Denis Villeneuve is on the left, next to the panel moderator, Hans Zimmer is the one wearing the scarf. The producer is between them, and the two on the right are the sound mixer and sound designer.

Aaron Sorkin as a screenwriter is hit or miss with me. I like most of his work, some of it I absolutely can't stand. This is one that I really enjoyed his screenplay. As a director, I thought he did a very good job. I think he is cribbing off of Danny Boyle a bit, and it worked for the most part.
