Put new tires on, TPMS says low front

I just put new tires on my 07 335i and now I have a reading of low front passenger side tire on TPMS. The guy at discounttire said the senors just need replacing, is this right? I'm about to go on a trip and don't want to be driving on a low tire. Since they just put them on I figure it is just a bad TPMS senor cause he said the battery was having a hard time reading the computer.

Also said I had bent rims, will those be fine to drive on for a couple thousand miles until I get them replaced?
