TV Woes

Problems with channels dropping out of tune on Freeview. don't know if it's the set or what, but it's annoying. Also, can't tune in TV Recorder without losing channels. New set beckons?

Could be aerial related, but if you want a new TV... blame the TV.

I had a similar issue, turns out a crow had ripped my aerial to pieces!

Is it just the TV that is having problems, or are any other devices having the same problem holding tuning from the same aerial...

If just TV, then it'll be either the TV or the specific cabling to the TV...

I know this sounds simple, but you could try using a different cable from the aerial socket to the TV, to see if that makes a difference...

I did also read that some freeview channels have changed recently and so a re-tune may help..?

We do, we don’t have any TV package.

Actually we have Netflix and Prime TV but we don’t have a Sky TV or Virgin package, the kids watch their programmes on freeview, I watch YouTube and the Mrs watches standard TV shite.

We don’t watch live TV! Everything’s recorded and fast forward adverts.

Thanks for the help, tried a different cable, better now. must have been either loose socket or faulty cable.

Me too... Freeview, Freeview HD and Netflix... Got rid of pay tv packages quite a few years ago now and don't miss them at all... For the (very) occasional dabble into TV sport, I can get a NOW tv pass...

Yeah I cancelled virgin tv because we hardly use it these day (don't really watch live TV). I watch everything for free through Kodi on a fire Tv box behind a VPN. I can get practically any TV show or movie!
