128i No Adaptive Suspension!

Well that rules it out for me ☹️

Any reason why and will it be available in future?

This is one of the main reasons I went for the M135i. 18 + adaptative + xDrive. BTW the price gap when similarly equiped helped too.

Really don’t get the uk's obsession with M Sport overly firm suspension.
I deleted it on my Gran Coupe and stuck with 18's which made it way better.
Had a 118d M Sport overnight as a loaner, granted with run flats, but it was dreadful.
Figured 128 with normal tyres, 18's and adaptive would be way better
Fingers crossed they add it as an option 🤞

If you go for PS4S (non runflat) it should be better. But I don't think they will add adaptative on 128ti because the cas has its own passive sport suspension setup and the philosophy of the car is « less is more ».

Sounds about right.
All m cars no longer have runflats apparently
How does the m135, non run flat compare to standard m sport on comfort mode?

Mine will be delivered during May so I can't tell you more. The one I test drove was on 19 (passive suspension) and it rided good with its Bridgestone in 235/19/35. I have to say I didn't have an extensive test drive but the cabine was quieter than my 2019 Golf (significantly less wind noise on the Autobahn).
I added " sporty tire " (a 1000 euro extra) but I don't know (neither my dealership) if the car will be equiped with Pirelli P Zero RFT or with PS4S (like the 128ti). Even BMW Switzerland wasn't able to give this info...

No adaptive suspension is a good thing, at least for me. Not having the adaptive suspension option means you can up size your rims from the factory supplied 18inches with no effect on your suspension warranty.

If your car comes with the adaptive suspension option, you are not allowed to upsize your rims unless you want your suspension warranty voided. That is what I understand.

i fully agree. when ordering mine, i was specfically told by BMW that if i opt for the adaptive suspension i would not be able to fit 19" wheels afterwards. i went for the 19" and have a set of 18" winter tires.

I’m the opposite as want comfort so would never add 19s.
18 non run flat with adaptive is the least I would want and think even that may be too firm
As said a standard 118d m sport is unbearable for me and the wife
Daughters new A class has a way superior ride.

Would love to hear from someone who can comment on these two
