I started a new post, had loads of views but no responses.

Does anyone know if it's possible to code in the M-Display rev counter in the HUD of the F40? There seems to be success over on the G20 and G01 pages but little info here.

I have bimmercode installed which I used on my F80 but will need to get a new cable/dongle or should I move to Esys?

Thanks

Are you on about the exhaust valve? If so, you can code this to add sporty mode to engine sound in the menu. It will keep the valve open in comfort mode instead of sport only.

Sport mode in ASD
HU_MGU
- CAFD_00003E52
- DISPLAY_MENU_CONFIGURATION_ENGINE_SOUND - Ausgelesen = enabled (was disabled)
- DISPLAY_CONFIGURABILITY_ENGINE_SOUND - Ausgelesen = aktiv (was nicht_aktiv)

F44/F40 BimmerCode Angel Eye Brightness Coding

Hey everybody, the F44 forums are not as active as the F40 so I apologize that I’m posting here about my F44, but regardless I have a 2022 228 I XDr., full version of BimmerCode, and an enet cable. I have always coded my angel eye brightness on my previous BMWs and my mini coopers to 100% when the low beam is on, default is like 49%.

It is such a drastic difference and it really improves Visibility and looks badass, however under lighting in the body domain controller that option is absent. Does anyone know how I could go about this, is there a setting under expert mode perhaps? Thank you everyone I sincerely appreciate it👌💯🙏

A small change that may remove a minor irritant for somebody. When you open the rear hatch it goes to a position that can be set to one of five heights in the MMI. I found that position 3 was just about OK, except that the door would be stopped by my extending ladder suspended on hooks above the car, and I had to wrap a towel around the ladder to protect the door. The real solution is to recode the height, using BimmerCode Expert or E-Sys.

In the HKFM ECU, section 2004, there are five settings HKL_MMI_POSITION1 to 5. These are assigned hexadecimal values representing the % of total motion, from x0D (13%) to x64 (100%). I reset my POSITION3 from x57 (87%) to x52 (82%) and the door now stops just short of the overhead ladder.

To avoid confusion, this is for my F40 M135i Xdrive with electrically operated tailgate.

Hello, I codified the instrument panel of my f40 with bimmercode, I put the M series, but I don't know why the 3.0 csl writing appears to me. Has this happened to anyone else?

Isn't there a separate setting where you can choose what kind of logo is displayed?

No idea what that video is all about, but you can try this:

BDC 3501
OFF_IN_PWF_ERFAHREN_ERLAUBT
nicht_aktiv ==> aktiv
Allow exterior lights to be turned off when engine is running

This may save you a bit of time. I just noticed that BimmerCode basic mode has:
"Exterior lighting switch-off allowed"
(Allow the exterior lights to be turned off when the engine is running.)

It's probably the same as the expert mode I quoted.
I have never used this feature so I can't guarantee that it works.

Do the angel eyes come on or do the headlights go completely dark?
