They're an OEM accessory, why does it matter if it's done from the factory or at the dealer afterwards? Would the OEM spoiler be a mod if it came that way from the factory like Xenons, Logic 7, or an Automatic tranny?

If it comes that way from the factory then no... But being as it was installed after delivery, then I consider it a mod... OEM or not... So someone does a full on msport kit (interior and exterior)... is the car not modded? |

Exactly...that's the bottom line. Doesn't matter if you got it from the dealership or an aftermarket supplier. Logic7 is not a mod because it's from the factory, it's an option. OEM accessories are a mod because it's something that's put on by the dealer. It's not an option, it's an accessory. Accessory=MOD! |

If you want to be technical then fine it's a mod, but then so is an automatic tranny, navigation, active steering, because you are altering (modifying) the car from it's original stock, base form.

So if you get the msport edition from factory (in Europe you can) it is not a mod but if you buy the components here and have the dealer install them it is ?
If anything that does not come standard is modding, then every driver in the world is a modder and modding therefore looses all significance. |

Wait does the accessory tire valve stem caps constitute as modding?
Then sorry RGRAY, I do believe your car is modded... it didn't come from the factory like that (I am assuming you got them from Passport) I agree, anything not factory is a mod. You're adding things on to modify the form of your car from how it was produced...applies to all things big and small, OEM or aftermarket or DIY
