I can't get the latest software upgrade to install onto the car. it's downloaded. Tech support thinks it's the battery % full not being 80%. I have done long drives and external charge.
its 4+ y/o so out of warranty any one got ideas?

any one had luck getting BMW to replace the battery for free?

its like 850AUD for the service partner to do it.

It's quite possible that your battery is dying, in which case the upgrade will not happen. This happened to me when my F40 was only 14 months old and fortunately BMW Assist were happy to replace it. Take your car to a specialist and get the battery tested. If it's becoming U/S there's no reason why you have to pay dealer price. Just be sure to get an AGM battery, not an EFB. You should also register the new battery, which can be done by anyone with software like BimmerLink.

My F44 wouldnt update because it had an EFB battery - which was what they used on 2019 and maybe early 2020 models.
Changed to AGM and had to pay $900. $600 for battery and $300 for coding and registration. They also updated it to 2023-11 software version.
Honestly I can't tell any difference from 2021 version haha.
