iPhone Snap In adapter
Am I right in thinking that there is no point fitting this unless you have the snap-in interface right?
I like the idea of the adapter as it holds the iPhone, charges it and it looks neat without having cables hanging everywhere. What I was hoping for if the ability to fit the adapter and find a way of connecting it to power so it charges and have it connected to the AUX input for music. But I'm guessing this isn't going to be possible. Thoughts? I'm tempted to make something to fit in the centre console that does what I want just using a Y lead to connect to the AUX and flush fit USB charger. Anyone seen anything like this before? Thanks.

Well the same sort of thing as the snap in adapter, but purely for connecting the iPhone to power (USB) and the AUX port for playing music. So it holds the iPhone nicely in place, not on show or cluttering up the dashboard.
Basically for those cars without the bluetooth prep.

I was on the BMW website earlier today having a look for something similar. My car has the bluetooth prep, no i-drive so all I needs is a normal one. But here are their options: -
Normal snap in adaptor. http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/owner/acc...156___,00.html Adaptor music with usb http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/owner/acc...156___,00.html |

Mine doesn't have bluetooth prep or anything in the center console except for an AUX port and 12v power socket.

Sorry to highjack your thread but does anyone know what I need in mine to use the snap-in adaptor with USB interface? I have iDrive (business ) and I do not have the USB audio interface. My car was built in Sept 2010
