Its been fun...so long X7

Well, it's been a fun year with the X7...almost to the day I bought it, 27 Nov 2020. Decided it was time to get out while we could get a good deal/offer on the X7. Ours was a 2021 M50i fully loaded to the hilt.

If you're looking to do the same and getting dealers pushing back on you saying they can't budge on MSRP for what you're trying to get or the offer on your X7, don't accept no for an answer. We were able to work a deal that I believe is better than anything we could have gotten pre-chip and supply chain shortage.
I can't imagine any other time where depreciation on an X7 after a year and 19,000 miles would be less than 6%.
And we got 5% off MSRP on the new car we're getting.

Quick recap of dealer offers we received, initial and final:
BMW : $97k --> $99K
Porsche : $92K --> $94K
Audi : $92K --> $100K

I will truly miss the X7, but our needs have changed and we no longer need all the car the X7 has to offer. We won't be totally gone as we still have an X3 M40i and I do see another BMW in our near future...M3/M4 possibly. The X7 was just overkill for what we were using it for.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their feedback on all my posts the past year. I didn't post very often, but every reply helped.

Good luck. What was your depreciation? I assume your car was over $120K new?

Thanks. Still missing the X7...we dropped it off last week. Drove the X3 to Vegas over the weekend and it was fine, but not X7 uber comfortable, sipping bourbon, smoking cigars, first class fine. (I do not sip bourbon while driving...I make the wife drive)

You are so right and just reading that description had me spit in my coffee all over my iPad in laughter. Bravo.

That is one of the most iconic pics on the X7 forum and was one of the reasons we got our X7...we didn't have the RSE, but iPads were used in it's place.

Part of me wants to have more kids so we could have kept the X7, but we're in the life stage now with no little ones until grandkids show up in a few years. Maybe there will be an X7 PHEV or X7 EV or even the XM. Who knows.

I'm in the same boat, missing the X7 a little bit but the time was just right to try something different. however, that does not mean I won't be back one day. The facelifted version as PHEV with that mega-screen sounds tempting once all features are back...

Wow that is a great deal. We've had ours for 7 months now and love it but my wife thinks it's too big. We don't have kids either……..hmmmm…….nah, I'm keeping it! Love that car.
