E90 320d tail pipe on Sport and SE?

Hi
are the tail pipes or the exhaust different on an 320d m sport model to an 320d SE model?
as i seen a sport one today and it had a smart looking chrome oval shape pipe whereas all the standard models have an ugly down facinf pipe??

no,the bend down one has no DPF= diesel filter to stop the smoke,option when new was £500 so not many was done, then in 2007 they upped the power to 163-177bhp and added a filter as standard so now they are all oval goes for all models se,es,m sport

so can u fit the oval one onto the pre 2007 ones?

would u have to refit the whole exhaust or u can u get an oval exhaust trim?

I went to my local exhaust place and they chopped and welded on a new tip for £35! Much better

I don't but I will take one tomorrow if you like. I just got two round tips fitted like the M Sports. They are slightly larger but its the smallest they did lol

I was going to get the full back box but seen as the exhausts in perfect nick it seemed a waste.

Yea I just went in there and he had shelves of tips and I just found the smallest twin one and got him to fit it for free. Most they offer are the size of your head but they do have some normal tips

LOL, her brother had one on his Volvo (dont ask) and it was like an old dustbin.

I've had no problems

I checked their workmanship while it was on the ramp!

I would personally go to your local garage because its hard to tell if the tip would look right without seeing it in person.

Yeh stock 320d pipes are shiiet. Cheapen the car a lot from the back. Least you can do is get a trim for it.
