It was just the Tq....nothing to worry about. You even had the tall stock 3.07 gears and a .50 6th gear. It chugs along on the hwy @ 80mph at about 1500rpm....and it's fine. Only about 560lb-Ft, it shocks everyone and scares the shit out of people. Once you get used to it you want more. Bolt-on cars are making 600-625rwhp and 600rwtq on 93 pump gas without a cam. New VVT cam is coming soon and should start seeing them in the 700rwhp-725rwhp range all motor pump gas. Power is never a problem for Vipers. They handle awesome if you take the time to learn to drive them. They are an event anytime you drive it.
Miss my Viper(s). I'll be going back to one in the next few years when these medical bills blow over. A new 2013 ran 10.9x @ 134mph bone stock (even stock tires). Last edited by Disturbed; 01-14-2015 at 10:08 PM.. |

And 94 octane is 98c/L here. Which is super cheap, in summer it was $1.40/L. I know all about torque, the C63 is an absolute torque monster with headers. I sometimes have to peel my face off the back seats it seems. I like cars I can drive daily, a viper would be suicide in a Canadian winter. Even an M3/C63 is hard in winter. |

E55 does a fair bit better here, because of the forced induction (we are so high above sea level that NA engines are a joke). I make 488WHP at Detroit adjusted environment, and like 420 local.

Yea that brushed aluminum doesn't look as nice as CF leather but at least you have the extended fox red interior… You can buy the CF trim for $5-600 on here but it's impossible to find extended fox red interior for sale. Good choice!
