Hi,

Took delivery of my 218i GC M Sport last week. Really enjoying the car so far. The only thing is, I’ve noticed that when I have full beams on, the lights cast an odd projection at the edges. They almost look like scratches.

I’ve attached an image I took the other night while driving, will take a stationary one this evening which will show it better.

Wondering has anyone else noticed this in their car?

Yeah that looks odd alright. Shown it to your dealer yet?

Definitely does not look right. Do you have some scratches in the headlight housing? That's what it looks like possible cause could be.

I’ve sent the pictures to the dealer and they’ve asked me to bring the car in.

I’m thinking there’s scratches causing the projection. Will update once the dealer has has had a look.

Update on this issue - I left the car with the dealer last week. They called this morning and said BMW advised them this is normal and there are no faults showing for the lights. Apparently they checked other F44s they have and they showed the same pattern on the light projection.

I’m a bit skeptical.. has anyone else noticed this on their F44?

2sgcms I only checked in the garage, but I think I have something similar on mine - maybe it's normal after all?
