Usually on every BMW window there is a sign indicating that the side windows are tinted 70% minimum. On the 2GC, it only says that on the windshield, not on the side windows. Does anyone know if the side windows have a slight tint? Thanks

There is no "70% min. tint". 70% is the least required transparency for carglas to be viable for legal street use. That is also why it is illegal on the windshield and side windows to add additional tints in many regions.

I don't think I have seen literally clear glass on a car since my parents' '78 Plymouth. I think all factory side glass has a slight tint. Take a sheet of white copy paper and hold it half behind the glass and half exposed - that will show it easily.

Thanks for the replies-just trying to figure out a tint percentage. If i get 35% and the factory windows already have a slight tint on them, the actual tint value will be below the number i choose. if the factory window are 80% and i get 35% - .8x.35= 28% total tint.
