New HPA E9x 3 Series Rear Ride Height Adjusters
A pair of adjustable height rear spring platforms, designed to work with 60mm inner diameter coilover rear springs mounted in the stock spring location at the rear of a BMW E8x (1 series) or E9x (3 and M series). These are high quality products made by HPA right here in the USA, with easy adjustments. The thread used is self locking once any load is applied.
The material for the rest of the assembly is made up of black and HPA blue anodized aircraft grade aluminum alloy. These can be adjusted from a minimum of 0.5" thick to a maximum of 2.75" thick. These can be adjusted independently of each other and is great for corner balancing of your BMW. This particular model has been optimized to run at the top of the spring on the back of a BMW E8x/E9x. The locating stub fits in the factory location and replaces the bulky factory locating stub/hat, which inhibits ride height adjustment with other similar rear ride height adjusters. |

I'm looking for exactly something like that for my Bilstein B16 coilover (for the rear). The stock "bad roads package" which has plastic spacers similar to these here doesn't fit any more due to the coilover. Alpina_B3_Lux

Harold, you must have read the thread where I complained about KW's rear spring perch platforms weren't long enough for my taste. I have about 4 or 5 threads showing on the ~inside~ of the perches, this after a corner balance, and I'm still ~low~ in the back. How much longer are these than the KWs, if you know?

>designed to work with 60mm inner diameter coilover rear springs
Wait a minute, what coilovers have this spec? Edit: BTW, the picture in my "garage" of my rear suspension were taken immediately after I did the install, and before I raised them and corner balanced. With the collars at the position in that picture (one thread of the platform coming through the collar), my rear end was absolutely slammed.

Sold. I'll be contacting you shortly. I don't need go any higher, but I do want to ride on more thread contact! Would you recommend thrust sheets? Or do I need to wait for the Swift spring purchase?

If you are going to spend the labor replacing the height adjuster, it may be a good time to replace the rear springs of a differnt rate(if you are considering that now) as well to save on labor. |

You can't adjust ride height when the springs are loaded. Hundreds of pounds of force on the adjusting collar means there's no way to turn them, regardless of the design.

The thrust sheets do help a bit. Sometimes some dry lube on the threads of the height adjusters can do wonders and don't attract dust or dirt down the road. Below is the setup we run on our 135i with helper springs and radial thrust bearings. Adjustment is easily made with this setup and the springs can be changed out in a matter of seconds. For those like to tinker with their vehicle's ride height frequently, I recommend getting the radial thrust bearing to make the adjustments much easier. it could be done but just be ready to spend some elbow grease, once you get the momentum when turning it, it's not too bad. but like blisstik mentioned, a spanner wrench with notch would be a better choice =)

Raise Rear Ride Height
Hello, I have Dinan springs and want to slightly raise my rear height. With these Rear Ride Height Adjusters, would I be able to raise one side by about 0.5 inch and the other side a bit more ?
Thanks, - Ray - Quote:

Yes, you can. Just by adding the height adjuster alone will probably get you the 0.5" you need and since they are adjustable, you can get go much higher. If you are thinking about upgrading your rear springs, this would be a good time as well. Harold |

Is it KW coilovers that have 61mm inner diameter?
Is it the same with KW coil springs? And how do you adjust it? I don't see any tap for the tool to grab? How much are they?

These were designed around the Swift 60mm ID springs. No tool needed as these are recommended to be installed with Swift thrust sheets and you will be able to turn the adjuster by hand in most cases. Here is a link to our web store with price: http://www.hpashop.com/product.sc?pr...categoryId=238 |
