Picked up the car on friday, lowered it right away. Huge difference and drives like a champ.
But I do have some strange vibrations/pulling while accelerating. Seems like the gearbox is a bit wacky.
Also while on the brakes, when shifting from D in S, the car starts shaking. Doesnt seem like it should be that way. Anyone else has this?

I turns out the vibrating / stuttering comes from the lowering. The guys over at Mini know this issue since 2013. Only fix for this is to lift the car back up.

Added some MP parts. Front flicks and sideskirts are waiting to be installed aswell.

I had the M3 mirror caps painted in body color. Some pics below for anyone thinking of doing the same thing. These caps are EVERYWHERE but I've never seen them in body color before... until now

Can I ask if you had any issues with the clips? I’ve just installed the Heko wind deflectors and the clips don’t appear to seat correctly and at speed I get wind noise coming in the front windows.

Thought I’d join and ask for advice, I’ve seen many users have had there car lowered, and I’m really considering this on my 128ti. Just wanted to get some thoughts on how they get on with speed bumps in the uk? I also have the carbon arch guards fitted so not sure if they will catch.
Some advice would be appreciated.

Great looking car! I think the F40 is one of the few cars that looks good without lowering springs, I would leave it stock If I was you. That said I think the AC Schnitzer springs is the most conservative option, I think it lowers the front by less than 2cm giving it an OEM+ look.
