New AUDI S3

Figures look familiar but all makes sense that the M135i isn't designed to compete at the top tier RS3 and A45 level.

Is there really any space/time for an M140i doesn't seem like it from BMW insiders on here.

Don't think an m140i will be coming any time soon..

Our engine code B48A20T1 - the T is usually reserved (not always) for the Top models in that class.

The Audi S3 Sportback is extremely quick point to point. Partly because it’s lighter than its predecessor and partly because of the quattro four-wheel-drive system that makes it more manageable on slippery roads than the rear-wheel-drive BMW M140i. Admittedly the ride is still very firm, but just about comfortable for most.

Engine wise, the Audi S3 Sportback is hard to fault – it has a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol that gets one of the best in that size. It packs 305hp and, with the help of the quattro 4WD, accelerates from 0-62mph in less than five seconds – faster than a Ferrari Testarossa supercar from the 90s.

1 single post on Bimmerpost and its back slapping the Audi S3. Always nice when an AUDI staffer takes time to pass by.

Thanks

The A45S AMG and RS3 are full AMG and RS cars. Even if there is a M140i, it will still not be a full M car unless there is another 1M which I think is rather unlikely at this point of time.

A 1M would be really interesting and do alot more for sales as compared to the M8 and M8 Competition.

Interesting looking at the configurator as (comparing similar specifications) it seems the car is pegged at a couple of thousand pounds cheaper than the BMW... But likely similar after deals taken into account...

You can get an S3 with leather and goodies under the magic £40k (plus initial road tax) threshold, which will save that £350/year extra... which, hey, if you don't have to pay, it's a bonus, right...

So getting awfully congested and tight in the Golf R, S3, M135 region...
