Rear Diffuser

So I'd like to add the M-Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser to my M4 order. However, I can't seem to actually find that part anywhere on BMW's website. Those of you who have the diffuser, where can I actually find it? The closest thing I've found appears to be from iND:

http://ind-distribution.com/ind/cate...e-f8x-diffuser

I'm not sure if that's the actual genuine BMW M-Perfromance part or not. The part number is formatted differently from the other parts I have fond (front splitters and trunk spoiler) Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I believe EAS carries it, but your best bet is to visit one of the site sponsors ----- BMW OEM DEALER sponsors

Wait, add to your order? So you just want part numbers to provide? maybe those links will help you.

Yeah, I've seen the part #'s thread, thank you. I mostly just wanted to confirm that the part on iND is indeed the genuine BMW part. It looks like it's part number matches. The prices I found are cheaper than what you can find through Shop BMW's website, and the dealer agreed to price match. I was able to find the spoiler and front splitter/lip on BMW's site, but not the diffuser, which I was confused by.

So I was just told that BMW does not sell genuine parts to anyone except authorized BMW dealers. The parts from IND are made by a Japanese company called 3D Design. Is that true?!? If so, the IND website is EXTREMELY misleading.

IND Distribution sells original BMW parts, and is actually the #1 dealer in the Midwest in volume for original BMW components, including BMW Performance carbon fiber parts. We purchase our BMW components from BMW directly.

We also offer many other product lines that are not related to BMW. We sell products from Vorsteiner, 3D Design, RKP, and many other composite manufacturers, but that does not relate to our direct purchasing relationship with BMW.

Thank you for the response. I had suspected that the information I had received was incorrect, but I wanted to ask.

I was told by IND (via phone earlier today) that the rear diffuser is out of stock, and they do not have an update on when they will get more.

Walk behind the car and swing your foot under the middle of the bumper. Trunk pops open. I love it at the store.

Takes at least 5 tries every time for me. I wear a size 12 so no small shoe going under there and it's just unreliable. I've read the manual on this section to make sure I'm doing it right and it's just not well engineered I'm afraid. Anyone who knows the trick please pipe up.

It works every time for me. Try kicking forward right in the middle under the bumper but not so close where you may touch the bumper. I would say give it about 6" before actually touching the bumper. Don't swing your leg as I had found that doesn't work very well.

I'm thinking of adding a rear spoiler to my m4. do I really need to install the front splitter as well per the bmw website? Is this necessary or is bmw just trying to sell another part?

The M-Performance rear diffuser is on worldwide back order with over 860+ back orders in the US alone. Estimated release date is 1/21/2015. I call BMW every morning and the release date has changed 20 times already.
