Morning all,

had noises coming from the car (E92 325 2006)which i thought was the exhaust knocking. taken back this morning as still under warranty. got a call that it is the prop shaft and mentioned flange? and needs special grease? on order and they are going to let me know tomorrow if it is that. ayone else had this issue?

I think I had this on my 2005 330i. Had a rattle of sorts coming from under the centre console, especially when the engine was at low revs but under load eg hill start

Turned out to be a loose centre bearing mount - Indy garage tightened it up and all good since

Special grease?? If it is noisy I would assume the shaft is u/s by now!

Sure they didn't say drive shaft?
That might make more sense...
