Must be because he is from MA. Auditor saw it and instantly called all the others ones over - "look, it's from MA" with a shocked expression. They probably group worked it to get it done.

I am shocked how fast that was. My last suppressor took over 2 months using the online kiosk. if I thought a new MP5 would go through in 2 weeks I'd be calling the dealer NOW to order.

Didn't know. All I've experienced is Form 4s which take a lot longer. I "assumed" all NFA took the same route.

Good to know.

Sunday Gunday post

Watching my favorite golf pro Dustin Johnson lead the first event of playoff season while installing a QD sling mount on the Benelli. Shotty is already clean, but it doesn't hurt anything to wipe down and re-lube all the internals while it's apart...

If that's a muzzle break on the end I don't want the shooting bench next to yours.

Seems fast to me. NFA Tracker shows an average of 30 days for Form 1 E-file Trust.

Well I was hoping to do some hunting in Illinois with it (since were moving back) only to find out Illinois doesn't allow rifles for hunts lmfao. So looks like this will just add to collection and I'll stick with bow hunting that state.

Nah, that tracker is never right...you gotta go off of the pool of recent individual experiences.

Here are the last 2 for August:

Thought you all might get a kick out of this from the local police blotter, file under 'CCW Fails':

"Syracuse police also charged one of the passengers.

“Evidence of potential illicit drugs inside of the vehicle were observed,” Malinowski said. “Upon searching one of the occupants, an unloaded, Smith & Wesson .44-caliber magnum revolver with an attached scope was found in a waistband.”

The officers say they found that revolver with an attached scope in Lyndon Bentley’s waistband. Police charged Bentley, a parolee convicted nearly three years ago of making methamphetamine at home in front of his child with possessing the gun, Malinowski said.

Rather than ticket him, police loaded the gun and returned it to him so he could shoot himself in the nuts while showing off (no, not really, but if I was judge for a day....)

Very jealous. I have a Custom ii in .45 but i’d love to add a raptor to the collection. Still my favorite gun i have.

You better be prepared to compromise and NOT get a smoking deal! This is one of the busiest years of all time and looking like it might beat 2013 - which was the holy grail of years since then. NICs checks are through the roof. I'm in the industry and track them as part of our state of the industry reports and it is insane this year. Same with ammo - many 9mm rounds are backordered into 2021 at this point.

3 Mil NICs checks per month - Jesus - people are scared and the thought of no police only makes it worse.

Are you allowed to own an AR15 in California? I thought not but certainly no expert on CA law here..

Best advice I can give if you are new at this is buy quality. Chances of finding an AR type rifle these days is slim and usually only the expensive ones are left. Yeah, it's an overpay but if there are no alternative get it.

While I am lucky to live in a free state and own NFA and lots of stuff I would not feel incapable of defending my family etc with a simple pump 12 gauge and a Glock 9mm. If you are new I'd start there.
