GOTTA SEE THIS.Us drifting at Papenburg(Germany)
This is our group of lunatics exactly 2 years ago at the Mercedes Benz Testtrack @ Papenburg /Germany. We had special permission to go there(Veyron was tested also)
This is a exact replica of the Hockenheim track (banking etc) I 'm drifting my M3 after the black E46 320d with German plates. (2 minutes 25 seconds) Andre is drifting the CSL. Have fun :rocks: http://static.8200rpm.com/stuffvids/...enburg2004.wmv Last edited by Robin_NL; 03-12-2006 at 05:03 PM.. |

And I had a spin in his 996turbo and it's not that much faster than my M3(okey beyond 180kmh(115mph) it starts running from the E46 M3s. The CSL sounds excellent doesn't it? EDIT, changed the link in my first post, a stronger server. This one will do, thank you http://static.8200rpm.com/stuffvids/...enburg2004.wmv |

Funny thing is. Most of the time the E46 M3 stays in 3rd(!!!)gear because then the rebound of the car is smoother than in 2nd gear(when the car returns to neutral stance)
Drifting in 3rd gear arises 1 'problem' in the E46 M3s and E39 M5, the speed you are building up in the slide is outrageous. Sometimes 150kmh(95mph!) out of a faster bend. 4 months ago we did this again with my 330i and 2 130is and some M3s. The 330 was great too, but I missed my limited slip diff. The drifting is pretty cool, but the video would be much better without that loud ass music. It would be much better if you could just hear the cars without the music.

great drifting video!!!
hey guys just some thoughts. i use to watch Formula D on G4TV but lost track of the series though. great drifters there. the GTO was very promising, so as the viper based on the first few episodes that i've seen. but sadly no BMW drifter. here is a link to the videos. http://www.g4tv.com/formulad/videos/index.html it would be really really exciting to see a bimmer drifting in there on the next season. what do you guys think? |

Wow, that certainly put a smile on my face...
Self evident comment of the day - the Merc didn't look like the driver was having as much fun compared to the others - hardly got any drift on it at all...
