Rear Comparison: 330 335 750

Snapped this shot of some cars on the local lot.

I thought it was an interesting comparison between E90 and E92 along side a 7er. I hadn't realized how much higher the E90 trunk was compared to E92. Both 3s are Sports Package.

Its funny how the 335 tailights are similar to the 7 series. I guess maybe they read our posts.

why funny? the refresh of the 7 brought that style of taillights to the market first...

however i do wonder at what point in time did they conceive/decide what the refresh would look like.

it's quite noticable being side by side, how much lower the coupe is from this pic, quite nice.

I'm pretty sure that's why the coupe is about two inches longer than the sedan overall.

The trunk on the E92 is not as tall, so they lengthened it to provide more or less the same trunk space as the sedan. That's my story anyway.

i hate that it's longer. i look at the hood and it's like too long... it didn't need that laid back luxury look.

Yeah, the back being low on the E92 makes it seem really small in person.

I know many people (even e90 owners) hate on the tail of the e90 but I love it.... it gives so much character to the car.

The blacklines definitely make the e90s rear look wider.

The e90's tails w/o blacklines are terrible. There's no elegance to it at all. Almost makes the car look like a toy.

I'm so glad they redesigned it for the e92. Best decision they ever made.

However, blacklines make the car look totally different, even more aggressive than the coupe. Still, each has its own character and I love them both.
