Bucket List

What are some bucket list items you all have? What have you completed, what do you think you'll reasonably be able to achieve, and what are some that are far out there?

Here's mine:

1) Visit the 8 wonders of the world - Visited Machu Picchu in 2016... just 7 more to go
2) Road trip all the way up to Anchorage, AK
3) Retire early (by 55)
4) Own a Ferrari - Hoping to gift myself a 50th bday present.. just 14 more years to go!
5) Go on an Alaskan Cruise
6) Go on a European Cruise
7) Visit Antarctica
8) Camp out in the wilderness of Norway to see the Northern Lights
9) Attend the hot air balloon festival in Turkey
10) Attend an F1 race at Monaco
11) Wildlife safari in Kenya
12) Win an argument with my wife
13) Drive the Transfagarasan Road in Romania in an exotic roadster
14) Road trip the Karakoram highway between Pakistan and China
15) Spend a month at the Amalfi Coast in Italy
16) Visit the salt flats of Bolivia right after a heavy rainfall
17) Fly internationally on a private jet
18) Attend a world cup game
19) Visit a glacier in Iceland
20) Go to the moon (hey I did say include some far out there ones)

I'd say all are within reach except #12. If you want to achieve fulfilling your bucket list I'd take that one off the final list.

You can scratch #12 off your list...

Not a cruise person but I'm with you on the Amalfi Coast for a month and the safari!

Doing #3 in May... at 58. Have done #17

For me, some extended time exploring China, visit Iceland and Japan are on my list.

Congrats on the early retirement! You are who I aspire to be lol

How'd you score a private flight internationally? And how was the experience?

That's a great list. Some of mine are the same (in no particular order).

- Visit Egypt/Norway/Iceland/New Zealand/Japan
- Visit The Dragon every year with a great group of auto enthusiasts
- Vacation in the Maldives
- Drive the Transfagarasan Road in a Lotus
- Drive the Nurburgring in a Lotus
- To own a Condo in New Orleans

I'm sure there are others, but I'm old, so I'm forgetting my own list.

Thank you, looking forward to the next phase!

For the sake of privacy I will just it was excellent, US to London and then back home. Brought the wife and kids as well, a wonderful trip. It was some time ago, on a Gulfstream.

I retired at 55 which was on my list so check.
F1 in Monoco was supposed to be my 60th, that was last may so Covid killed that, that will happen in another year or two. I want to travel more but when things are a bit more normal.
I'd like to see Japan.
Doing a photo Safari in Africa has been there but will all the unrest and unknown diseases I think I'll park that one for now.
I don't argue with my wife.

that's a really solid list! i think we could hang out!

i would scratch the cruises though...so many better ways to see alaska and europe.

might add a visit to oceana (australia or new zealand) so you can hit all the continents.

I've never been on a cruise so I don't know what to expect. But maybe I'll replace the European cruise with a trip to Oceania!

I think once my kids are a little older (like maybe wait till they hit close to double digits) then I'll start tackling a lot of these bucket list items. I had a longer list that I did a good job of attacking earlier on but that all came to a halt when we had our daughter 4 years ago.

I don`t have much of a bucket list. My wife and I choose to do things together, happy wife, happy life
In no particular order.
Obviously a Porsche GT3
Move to a different house with enough property so I can build a 4 car garage with 1 or 2 lifts.
Drive on the Nürburgring.
Travel, I have done quite a bit until covid-19 came along. My wife and I decide together where we are going, sometimes I win, sometimes she wins
As far as winning an argument with my wife After 35 years of marriage I think I have won at least one, but I can`t remember
