Tbh HUD and ACC are the deal breaker for me

HUD never went anywhere and has always been available (for M240i). The ACC removal seems pretty recent.

ACC was officially removed in early October. It cannot be optioned, even with the help of a salesperson and the option code in hand (5DF).

I thought it was a personal dealbreaker, but when it came down to it, I still placed my order.

I did not know it was removed. My order and build got approved with ACC but I did have a production delay (car was suppose to be built by Oct 29th but now its Nov 17th). I am hoping my car keeps the ACC.

If it's still there on MyBMW, you're probably getting it.

I hope so. It still shows it right now and its in the "entering assembly line" stage finally.

My build which is still in 047 status (accepted but no quota available) is still showing ACC as ordered, so my assumption is they are no longer offering it for new orders, but will not remove it from orders that already had it selected as an option (including orders that have not received an allocation yet).

I'm hoping that it stays this way and that they do not remove it from anything currently in the order bank.

They totally might if parts aren't available. "47 - order bank" means your dealer doesn't even have an allocation yet. They can and will take stuff out until you hit "150 - production begins". After that you should be safe.

I'm aware of what the status means as I work at a dealer; our next 2 series allocation will be available in December. I stated in a different thread that this is of course subject to change like everything else, but was happy that mine was at least no longer showing the SiriusXM and HD radio delete, and as of yet no ACC delete. I was just trying to spread some hopefulness out there as it's a bit disappointing to select (and/or expect) certain feature to be on a custom build and then have them removed by the manufacturer.

While I fully understand the supply chain issues that manufacturers are experiencing and the necessity for these items to be "deleted" or unavailable, it doesn't make it any less disappointing as a consumer.

Active Cruise Control. It's the radar-based cruise control that maintains a set distance from the car in front of you and will speed up, slow down, and even stop the car depending on traffic. It reduces the fatigue and stress of long highway commutes and traffic jams.

Has anyone heard of any updates on ACC availability? I was considering placing an order later this year but this is kind of a deal breaker for me, might have to continue to wait

To each's own, but when I picked up the car last friday, the stress of fighting the lane keeping had me turn it off within the first 5 minutes of owning the car. I can't imagine the radar cruise control is any less stressful.

Does it also complicate who can perform wheel alignments on BMW's?

I'd put the lane change warning w/ steering assistance in a different category since it's a safety feature specifically designed to correct your inputs and actively fight efforts to override it.

Active Cruise Control is a comfort feature designed around the expectation of the driver surrendering control to the car. It's especially effective in stop-and-go traffic, where it handles all of the repetitive throttle and brake inputs for you. It's all software and spatial awareness sensors; as far as I'm aware, there are no special needs for wheel alignments.

My salesperson was able to add active cruise control to my build even after it was removed from the website. My order has been allocated and has a production number but not yet started production. So who know if I'll still get the ACC or not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

At this point who know if I'll even get the car or not considering it's been 2 weeks and still "scheduled for production" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ordered mine on 10/7, with mostly every option except for the upgraded stereo and tire cooling package. Order includes ACC, and I'm still at 'Scheduled for Production'. My CA doesn't know more info. They originally said it was going to enter production last week of Oct or early Nov, but nothing has changed. Meanwhile they had a Thundernight metallic w/ every option (including ACC) arrive at the dealer a week or two ago and it was sold w/in a week.

So I'm in the same boat as you, I'm assuming the ACC is the hold up - as they removed it from the configurator. idk but keep on telling myself it'll be worth the wait lol ugh
