I’m considering buying a used 1 series from 2019. In the photo below does the needle on the instrument panel look faded? Is this normal?

They do look a bit dim... could be just the photo but from what I've seen from the pictures the needles should be about the same brightness as the numbers.

I would request another picture from the seller if you're seriously considering that particular car.

That's a known defect for that type of cluster, the needls will eventually go totally dim.
A full cluster replacement is needed to fix the issue
