Creaky boot hatch

Anyone else notice their boot hatch of F40 getting creaky when driving over bumps/ramps? Like there's a tiny bit of play in it and it's moving up and down ever so slightly as I drive.

It's starting to drive me mad! Haven't had a chance to bring it to dealer yet, just wondering if there's an easy fix

Good luck with it. I suspect that the panel alignment is reasonably OK, unless you've suffered some impact, and you might just find that a small adjustment on the two stop buffers will fix it.

I did exactly that and it fixed it! Thanks again!

I’m having this issue too. May I know if you tightened clockwise or loosened anti clockwise of the stop buffer to solve this?

I loosened anti-clockwise, so it makes the hatch tighter against the locking latch. It only needed a slight adjustment, maybe half a turn. Takes a bit of trial and error. I reckon you don't want too much force against the locking latch, the way I gauged this was how much of a release it gave when pressing the boot release, nothing too excessive!
